The status light on the Zaptec Pro indicates the following:
Blue light - Charging or ready to charge

Meaning:
- Flashing: Vehicle is actively charging.
- Solid: Charger is connected to a vehicle and ready to charge. Indicating communication between the charger and the vehicle. If charging doesn't start, ensure that your vehicle has been configured to start charging immediately.

Green light - Charging paused or scheduled

Meaning:
- Flashing: Authentication successful; charger is ready.
- Solid: Charging is complete or ready to charge. If charging doesn't start, and the light is green, it might be because the charging cable has not been inserted correctly. Check this.

Yellow light - Waiting for authorisation
- Meaning: The charging station is waiting for authorisation via app or NFC/RFID card before charging can begin.
- Need assistance? Follow the steps outlined here.
Orange light - Not configured yet
- Meaning: The charging station has not been fully set up by the installer in the Zaptec app.
- Next steps: Contact your installer to complete the setup or reach out to our support team for guidance.
Red light - Error detected
- Meaning: An error has been detected.

Flashing:
- Authentication failed - Check that the RFID tag/charging card is connected to your user profile.
- Authentication failed - Check in the Zaptec Portal that your user has access to charge at the charging station and/or installation.

Solid:
- Error detected - Unplug the vehicle, restart the station, and try again.
- Disconnect the charging cable. If the status indicator illuminates green, you can connect the charging cable again. If charging does not start and the indicator illuminates red again, there may be a charging fault on the charging cable or vehicle.
- If the status indicator lamp does not turn green after the charging cable has been disconnected, you can check the circuit breaker in the charger as described in the user manual.
- Authentication failed – Check that the RFID tag/charging card is connected to your user profile.
- If none of these work, contact your installer.
Flashing purple light - Firmware update
- Meaning: The charging station is updating its firmware, which usually takes about 3 minutes. Bluetooth is not available during this period.
No light - No power
- Meaning: The charging station has not been activated in the Zaptec Portal, no power from the power circuit, incorrect connection, or product fault.

- Confirm that the power is turned on.
- Check the circuit breakers or electrical connections.
- If unresolved, contact your installer.
