Criteria for receiving support:

  • A system that can receive information about electricity prices and adjust consumption accordingly
  • Electricity consumption that can store energy and shift usage to times of day with low electricity prices (for example, hot water tank, EV charging, and underfloor heating)
  • You must have two or more products that can be controlled to receive support.
  • The control system must be able to ensure that the main fuse is not overloaded and have control based on the capacity component of the grid tariff.
  • Everything that requires installation must be carried out by professionals.
  • Purchase and any installation of all products must be dated within the last 20 months before the application date.

On Enova's website you can read more and apply for support for "Price- and effect-controlled energy storage system for homes".

Zaptec product combinations:

Example:

  • Two Zaptec charging boxes + a control unit/service.
  • Two Zaptec charging boxes + Tibber Pulse included in the same installation.
  • Two Zaptec Go + Zaptec Sense.*

*Today's criteria do not specify that all loads in the home must be controlled from one and the same system, so this solution can for now be approved. This is namely what Enova calls a “lock in” solution that limits the possibility to include other energy storages in the system. such as underfloor heating cables or hot water tank. In this context, Zaptec recognizes the need for more flexible control systems that can handle various loads in the home.

For this reason, we recommend combining a Zaptec charging box with, for example, a vendor-independent HAN port adapter that sends data to a hub on the market that can also communicate with other loads in the home, so that you can have a comprehensive power management solution for the entire household.

Example of another solution that does not work: If you, for example, have a Zaptec Go + 1 Zaptec Sense + a relay for a smart hot water heater it will not be approved. This is because the smart relay then cannot be controlled by the same control system as the EV charger. The smart hot water tank then cannot be controlled according to electricity price and the home's total electricity consumption.
