How to restart your Zaptec charger

If your charger is unresponsive or not connected to the internet, restarting it may help. There are three ways to restart your Zaptec charger, either with or without the app.

Option 1: Restart by unplugging power

The easiest way to restart is to turn off the power to the charger, wait, and turn it back on.

  1. Turn off the circuit breaker connected to the charger.
  2. Wait 10 seconds.
  3. Turn the power back on.

The charger should reboot and try to reconnect automatically.

Option 2: Restart in the Zaptec app (no PIN required)

If the charger is online and linked to your account, you can restart it in the app without needing Bluetooth or the PIN code.

  1. Open the Zaptec app.
  2. Go to the Dashboard.
  3. Tap the gear icon next to the charger.
  4. Scroll down and tap Restart charger.

After restarting

  • The charging station's LED will turn off briefly.
  • It will pulse yellow while reconnecting. This indicates that the charger is attempting to reconnect to the internet.
  • When it's back online:
    • Zaptec Go shows a white light.
    • Zaptec Pro shows a green light.
