Is there a limit to the number of times charging can be restarted?

Yes.

 

For Zaptec Go with firmware >=2.3:

The charger will stop charging and report a warning if either of the following conditions are met:

  1. The car restarts charging >=(20 +n) times during the session, where n = number of complete elapsed hours since first charge activation in the session (state C); or
  2. The car restarts charging >=20 times in any one hour period

The following warning will be displayed in the Zaptec app

For Zaptec Go with firmware <2.3:

The charger will stop charging and report a warning if either of the following condition is met:

  1. The car restarts charging >=20 times during the session

 

 

This behaviour is designed to ensure a long service life for the charger safety hardware. Please contact your Zaptec dealer or service partner if the issue recurs.
