Creating a Zaptec account

The Zaptec app is the easiest way to monitor and manage your charger.

Download it from App Store or Google Play.

You can create you Zaptec account at any time, even before you charger is installed. Once the electrician has completed the installation, you can register your charger and link it to your account. 

 



How to create a Zaptec account

Your Zaptec account works for both the Zaptec app and the Zaptec Portal. 

  1. Open the Zaptec app or Zaptec Portal.
  2. Enter your first name, last name, email, password, and country.
  3. Tap or click Create Account.
  4. Check your email and click the activation link.
  5. Log in using your new account.

If you don't have access to the charging station:
If your account isn't linked to a charging station and the system requires user authentication, you won't be able to start charging. In that case contact the installer, installation owner or system administrator to request access. Zaptec provides charging stations. User management is managed locally by the installation administrator.



If you're an installer and partner

You'll need both a Zaptec account and access to your company's User Group to manage installations. 

Installers

  • A Zaptec account is required to set up and configure Zaptec chargers.

  • Your account must be a part of your company's User Group.

  • You must complete the Zaptec Academy certification courses to join a User Group.

If you've completed the courses but aren't connected to a group, contact your TAM, Zaptec Technical support or use this form. 

  • A User Group links your account to your company in Zaptec’s system. Being a part of a User Group gives you access to create and manage installations, but also view and support all chargers installed by your company. Without a User Group, you won't see or manage your company's installations. 

Partners

Partners need a Zaptec account to:

  • Access and manage installed systems.
  • View data and perform administrative tasks in the Zaptec Portal.
  • Be added to a User Group to access company installations.

 



If you're moving

If you're moving and no longer using your charger, you don't need to delete your account.

You can remove yourself from the installation: 

  • Your data will no longer be linked to the installation or charging station.
  • The new owner won't see your info.
  • You can keep your account for future use.

Permanently delete your account

If you want to permanently delete your Zaptec account and all associated data, email: gdpr@zaptec.com

Make sure you've transferred charger access before requesting deletion.
