If the local power grid has been upgraded from a 1-phase to a 3-phase system, adjustments to the Zaptec Go charger are necessary to ensure it operates correctly with the new 3-phase power supply. In cases where the charging station was originally installed with only a single-phase connection and later updated to three phase, this guide provides installers with steps needed to complete the upgrade.
Note:
To ensure that everything works smoothly, we recommend that a certified installer handles both the wiring and the app configuration.
Wiring adjustment
First, it's important that the charging station is wired for 3-phase power. Use the appropriate wiring diagram and make sure the installation complies with local regulations.
Adjusting configuration via the Zaptec app
After the wiring is updated, you’ll need to configure the Zaptec Go for 3-phase power using the Zaptec app. Don't worry, this won't affect any existing data—it’s just updating the settings to match the new grid.
- Open the Zaptec app and go to the Dashboard.
- Tap the three-dot icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Install Product.
- Choose Zaptec Go from the list.
- Scan the QR code or Select it from your device list.
- Select Install Zaptec Go and enter the PIN code.
- Scroll down and tap Reconfigure Charging Station.
- Follow the steps and choose the correct electricity network (3-phase).
- No need to reactivate the charging station afterward.
