Zaptec chargers are designed to charge at full power (100%) by default. This means your vehicle will charge as quickly as possible unless you choose to make adjustments.
Zaptec Go has different charging modes for power management. By default, it uses the Default Charging mode which:
- Provides 100% power unless you manually adjust it.
- allows you to limit the charging current to match your needs.
If you don’t change any settings after activating your Zaptec Go, it will stay in Default Charging Mode and operate at full power. But if you want to lower the charging current without using a schedule or smart features, you can do this easily through the Zaptec app.
You can only adjust the current within the range set by your installer. For example, if the charging system circuit breaker is set to 20A, you can choose a value between 6A and 20A(100%).
Adjust the charging current
Only the owner of the Zaptec Go can make these changes. Follow these steps:
- Open the app and find your charging station on the dashboard.
- Tap the lightning icon to access Charging Mode.
- Select Configure under Default Charging.
- Tap Available currents, adjust the desired charging current > Save.
- Once set, your charging station will operate using the new settings.
