This guide explains how to remove or move a charger in the Zaptec Portal. You might need this if you're moving a charger to a different installation, fixing one added to the wrong installation or circuit, or simply removing it from the portal altogether.
Steps to remove a charging station
In order to remove the charging station from a charge point do the following steps:
- Log in to the Zaptec Portal (same account as for the Zaptec app).
- Go to Chargers, enter the serial number, and select the charging station.
- Under Settings, click the Deactivate button (bottom- right corner) and click OK.

Remove the serial number from the field and click Save.
- If you plan to move the charging station to a different installation in the Zaptec Portal, write down the serial number for future use.
Note for replacing a defective charger
If you're replacing a defective Zaptec Pro charger:
- Enter the new serial number in the empty field, press Save, and click Activate.
- All previous settings, access, and charging history will be transferred to the new charger.
Moving a charger to another installation
Before relocating the charger, follow the steps above to deactivate and remove the charging station from its current installation.
To relocate it:
- Find or create the installation where the charging station will be moved. Make sure it's added to the correct circuit.
- Add a new charge point by clicking on the + icon under Circuits.
- Enter the saved serial number and a charge point name, then click Add.
All done! If adding more charge points, use the Add more button.
