You need your charger's PIN code to connect it via Bluetooth in the Zaptec app. Typically during installation or advanced configuration. 

What is the PIN used for?

• The PIN is used to connect to your charger via Bluetooth.

• It allows you to adjust network settings, update firmware, or configure the charger.

• Each charging station has a unique PIN, which cannot be changed. 

• In most cases, you won’t need the PIN after installation, unless you're changing the network setup.

Where to find the PIN code 

You can find the PIN in the different places: 

• On the user manual that comes with the charging station. 
• On the product packaging.
• In the Zaptec app or the Zaptec Portal, but only if you are the owner of the installation and the charging station or have service access.

Find the PIN code in the Zaptec app  

From the dashboard view

1. Open the Zaptec app.
2. Find your charger on the dashboard.
3. Tap the gear icon next to the charging station. 
4. The PIN code will appear under General settings. 

From the installation view

1. Go to the Installations tab.
2. Select your installation.
3. Tap the charger you want.
4. The PIN code will appear under General settings. 

Find the PIN code in the Zaptec Portal

If the Zaptec charger is activated and you're the registered owner, follow these steps: 

1. Log into the Zaptec Portal.
2. Select Chargers from the menu.
3. Choose your charging station. 
4. Go to Settings.
5. The PIN code will be displayed there.  
   

If you can't find the PIN code

Just moved in? 

If you're not the current registered owner of the charger, the PIN won’t be visible to you.

• Check with the previous owner. They may still have access and can share the PIN or transfer ownership.
• If that is not possible and the charging station doesn't appear in the app or portal, contact our customer service for help.

To help verify ownership, be ready to provide:

• The serial number of the charging station.
• The installation address.
• The name of the installer (if only the installer has access).
• A purchase agreement for the property (if ownership is recently changed).
